METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF STUDENTS' WORK ON VOCAL WORKS IN ACADEMIC VOCAL CLASS

In the article, the author considers the methodological aspects of the work of student vocalists on vocal works in the academic vocal class. Based on the analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, the author proves that work on vocal works in the solo singing class is a fundamental element of preparing future vocalists for successful professional activity. It is in the process of working on the repertoire that the integration of theoretical knowledge, technical skills and artistic expressiveness occurs, necessary for the full professional development of a vocalist. Without a deep and systematic study of various vocal works, it is impossible to form a true master of vocal art. Effective mastery by students of scientifically based and pedagogically appropriate methods of working on vocal works plays a decisive role in the formation of key professional competencies necessary for a successful career as a vocalist. These competencies include the ability to technically competently and emotionally expressively perform vocal works of various styles and genres; the ability to create a convincing stage image, possess acting skills and effectively interact with the audience; the ability to analyze vocal works, develop individual training programs, use effective methods and techniques for teaching vocals; knowledge of music history, music theory, vocal literature, foreign languages (for performing vocal works in the original language), self-management and marketing skills (for successful promotion as an artist) play a huge role. The success of students' work on vocal works in the solo singing class directly depends on the ability of teachers to effectively and rationally combine different groups of pedagogical principles, namely the principles of scientificity, systematicity, consistency, demonstrability, objectivity; the principles of clarity, accessibility, individualization, activity, consciousness, strength of knowledge acquisition, connection of theory with practice; the principles of vocal sound formation, development of musical ear and rhythm, education of artistic taste, formation of stage culture. Effective integration of these principles allows creating an optimal learning environment that promotes the comprehensive development of the student's vocal talent, the formation of his professional competencies and preparation for a successful career, etc.
