Miniature Tunable Slow Light Delay Line at the Bent Silica Fiber Surface

By bending an optical fiber, we demonstrate a 10 GHz bandwidth 2 mm long slow light delay line tunable from 2 to 0.5 ns with axial speed of light 0.003 c and insertion loss 6 dB.
