Sub-MHz Brillouin-Based Microwave Photonic Filter with Wide Instantaneous Bandwidth

We develop a general two-stage Brillouin-based microwave photonic filtering system enabling narrow resolutions and wide instantaneous bandwidths and demonstrate a sub-MHz bandpass filter with an instantaneous operating bandwidth extending beyond 18 GHz.
