Nonvolatile Optical Memories implemented with Electrically Programmed Capacitive-Piezoelectric Cantilevers

We report an optical memory based on optomechanical phase shifters with programmable nonvolatile settings. We leverage capacitive and piezoelectric nanomechanical forces to electronically write optical memory states stored as material strain profiles.
