A New Stretcher Design Based on an Asymmetric Offner Triplet for Improved Pulse Contrast Performance

A new stretcher design, based on an asymmetric Offner triplet, is proposed for the NSF-OPAL frontend. Simulations show an improved contrast by two orders of magnitude at –10 ps compared to the cylindrical Offner stretcher.
