Highly efficient intramodal and intermodal acousto-optic modulation on an etchless lithium niobate integrated platform

By optimizing the acousto-optic coupling strength, we experimentally demonstrated highly efficient intramodal and intermodal acousto-optic modulation on an etchless lithium niobate integrated platform, achieving a V π L of 1.133 and 1.993 V cm, respectively.
