Frequency Conversion in Periodically Poled Lithium Tantalate Photonic Integrated Circuits

We demonstrate, for the first time, periodically poled thin-film lithium tantalate waveguides capable of second-order nonlinear frequency conversion. We show that the poling process does not require MgO doping to reduce the coercive field.

Abstract

We demonstrate, for the first time, periodically poled thin-film lithium tantalate waveguides capable of second-order nonlinear frequency conversion. We show that the poling process does not require MgO doping to reduce the coercive field.
