Digital Health Innovations and Telemedicine Effectiveness in Remote Patient Monitoring

The integration of digital health innovations has significantly enhanced the delivery and effectiveness of telemedicine services, particularly in the domain of remote patient monitoring (RPM). This study investigates how emerging technologies such as mobile health (mHealth) platforms, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and AI-assisted diagnostics contribute to the quality and user experience of telehealth systems. Using a quantitative research design and Structural Equation Modeling (SmartPLS 4), data were collected from 100 healthcare professionals and patients with direct experience in telemedicine services. The analysis focuses on key factors including system quality, information quality, and user satisfaction as mediators of telemedicine effectiveness. Findings reveal that digital health innovations significantly improve both system and information quality, which in turn positively influence user satisfaction and perceived effectiveness of RPM services. These results underscore the importance of user-centered design and data-driven innovation in advancing digital healthcare delivery. The study offers practical insights for healthcare developers and policymakers aiming to optimize telemedicine infrastructure through targeted technological improvements.

Abstract

The integration of digital health innovations has significantly enhanced the delivery and effectiveness of telemedicine services, particularly in the domain of remote patient monitoring (RPM). This study investigates how emerging technologies such as mobile health (mHealth) platforms, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and AI-assisted diagnostics contribute to the quality and user experience of telehealth systems. Using a quantitative research design and Structural Equation Modeling (SmartPLS 4), data were collected from 100 healthcare professionals and patients with direct experience in telemedicine services.
