Analysis of Electromagnetic Characteristics of Magnetically-saturated Controllable Reactor under Harmonic Voltage
The characteristics of large random fluctuation and strong nonlinearity of traction load lead to rich harmonics in the traction power supply system, causing the voltage and current distortion of the catenary. The operation performance of 27.5kV magnetically-saturated controllable reactor (MSCR) connected to the catenary is inevitably affected by voltage harmonic and even fails. The paper establishes a two-dimensional finite element model of MSCR based on the field circuit coupling method, calculates the electromagnetic characteristics of MSCR under the excitation of catenary harmonic voltage in the case of SS4 and CRH2 locomotives running alone and in the case of mixed operation. By comparing with the results without harmonic, the influence of harmonic voltage on the electromagnetic characteristics of MSCR is analyzed, which provides a reference for understanding and analyzing the actual operation performance of MSCR.
