Exploring the Emerging Nexus Between IoT and Supply Chain Risk Management: A Bibliometric Perspective
The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) into supply chain operations has opened new opportunities for enhancing visibility, agility, and risk mitigation. At the same time, the growing complexity and vulnerability of global supply chains have intensified academic interest in Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM). Despite the relevance of both domains, the intersection between IoT and SCRM remains fragmented. This study conducts an exploratory bibliometric analysis to map the research landscape at the intersection of IoT and SCRM. Using the Scopus database and applying defined inclusion criteria, a curated set of peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2016 and 2024 was analyzed through Biblioshiny and VOSviewer. The findings reveal an emerging but impactful field, characterized by thematic diversity, technological convergence, and a highly dispersed publication pattern, offering a foundation for future scholarly exploration.
