Design of Brain-wave-based Smart Home Control System
Most existing smart home devices rely on manual operations or voice commands, which are not flexible or efficient enough in certain specific scenarios. Additionally, voice commands may inadvertently disclose users' private information. This design presents a smart home control system based on electroencephalogram (EEG) detection. Users can control home devices with just their thoughts, eliminating the need for manual operations. The TGAM EEG sensor is used to collect the user's EEG signals in real time. The signals are preprocessed and undergo feature extraction to obtain EEG data such as concentration levels. The data is then wirelessly transmitted via the HC-05 Bluetooth module to the Arduino Uno core board for analysis and processing. The system converts the data into the user's control intentions, thereby enabling device operations such as turning lights and fans on or off. Test results show that the system is stable and achieves a high accuracy rate.
