Innovation in OKR Management Gamification Based Website Application Development for Startups

The adoption of Objective and Key Results (OKR) as a performance management tool is growing, particularly in dynamic startup environments. However, employee engagement in OKR implementation is often low due to unattractive and complex platforms. This study aims to innovate OKR application by developing a gamification-based website that integrates elements such as virtual points, challenges, and rewards. Using the Extreme Programming (XP) method comprising Planning, Designing, Coding, and Testing the application was designed and built. Results indicate that the gamified platform enhances employee motivation by providing interactive features and visualizations for easier progress tracking. The research offers insights into gamification role in OKR management and practical guidance for startups to boost productivity and goal achievement. It concludes that gamification significantly improves team engagement, transparency, and OKR target attainment in dynamic startup settings.
