ABSTRACT This article analyzes the main legal challenges related to oil and gas exploration in Mozambique, focusing on sustainability, transparency, and the protection of local community rights. Through a critical approach to existing legislation and contractual practices in the sector, it proposes a set of measures to strengthen the legal framework and ensure a fair and responsible exploitation of natural resources.
