Development of a resource-saving technology for obtaining a wood-fiber composite material with graphite filler
The article discusses the prospects for obtaining a new building material made using various waste products. The purpose of this study is to develop a resource-saving technology for obtaining a wood-fiber composite material with graphite filler, which has improved performance characteristics and is intended for the manufacture of building structures of low-rise buildings and structures. As part of the research, the theoretical prerequisites were considered aimed at developing technological methods for obtaining a wood-fiber composite material and a method for creating a new building material with unique performance characteristics. The experimental part made it possible to determine the main operational characteristics of the created material and the optimal composition of the composite mixture. Also, tests were carried out on laboratory samples kept in water for a time determined by the conditions of the experiment. The results of the experiment confirmed the correctness of the choice of graphite as a filler for a wood-fiber composite material to give it a moisture-resistant ability. The greatest strength characteristics were shown by specimens with a concentration of graphite filler from 4 to 6% by weight. The results of the experiment make it possible to develop a method for selecting the optimal concentration of graphite filler depending on the requirements for the product. The resulting material will allow the use of waste from woodworking enterprises and furniture production to create building products with increased strength properties and water resistance.
