Research on Factors Influencing the Willingness to Use e-CNY Based on the TAM Model: A Case Study of Shunyi District, Beijing
With the vigorous development of digital economy, as an important innovation of financial infrastructure, the promotion effect of e-CNY is directly related to the development and upgrading of digital economy in China. Based on the technology acceptance model (TAM), this study introduces the concept of service trust (TRU), constructs nine potential variables including perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and then forms a comprehensive analysis framework. Taking residents in Shunyi District of Beijing as the empirical research object, through the structural equation model analysis of 423 valid questionnaires, the formation mechanism of e-CNY use intention is deeply explored. It is found that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use positively drive the willingness to use; Policy support can enhance service trust, and then promote the willingness to use; Risk perception inhibits the willingness to use, and institutional guarantee can adjust its negative impact; Residents with different demographic characteristics have different willingness to use.In the future, as the e-CNY system develops, application scenarios expand, and user awareness improves, user adoption is expected to increase. However, attention must be paid to international financial regulations and cybersecurity challenges. This research not only expands the application boundary of the technology acceptance theory in the field of legal digital currency but also provides a decision - making reference for the regional promotion of the e-CNY in the construction of smart cities.
