Clinical and epidemiological features of HIV / viral hepatitis C / tuberculosis coinfection
Objective. To determine the clinical and epidemiological features of HIV / viral hepatitis C / tuberculosis (HIV/HCV/TB) coinfection. Material and methods. The material is data on HIV/HCV/TB cases in the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2015–2022. The methods are statistical and comparative. Results. The average incidence of HIV/HCV/TB among men (M ± m) (0.92 ± 0.16 per 100 000 men) is higher than among women (0.20 ± 0.3 per 100 000 women) (t = 4.32, p < 0.05). The average proportion of men among HIV/HCV/TB is 79.62 ± 3.91%, among HIV – 61.18 ± 1.07% (t = 4.54, p < 0.05), women among HIV/HCV/TB – 20.38 ± 3.91%, among HIV – 38.81 ± 1.07% (t = 4.54, p < 0.05). The average proportion age of the 18–30-year group among HIV/HCV/TB is 2.31 ± 0.96%, among HIV – 20.02 ± 2.32% (t = 7.03, p < 0.05), 41–50 years, respectively 46.32 ± 4.08% and 23.22 ± 2.17% (t = 5.01, p < 0.05), 61 years and older – 1.17 ± 0.57% and 3.68 ± 0.90% (t = 2.36, p < 0.05). The average proportion of the sexual HIV transmission among HIV/HCV/TB is 50.62 ± 5.72%, among HIV – 79.08 ± 3.65% (t = 4.19, p < 0.05), parenteral – 49.38 ± 5.72% and 19.91 ± 3.54%, respectively (t = 4.38, p < 0.05). The average proportion of persons in prison among HIV/HCV/TB 17.98 ± 2.88% was higher than among HIV 8.73 ± 0.54% (t = 3.16, p < 0.05). The majority of patients with HIV/HCV/TB – 159 people (89.3%) had stage 4B HIV, 19 (10.7%) had stage 4A. Conclusion. Among HIV/HCV/TB patients, a higher proportion of patients compared to HIV was noted: male patients; age group 41–50 years; parenteral route of HIV transmission; persons in prison; stage 4 HIV. Key words: HIV infection, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, coinfection, tuberculosis
