Cover Feature: Improving the Economics of Sustainable Aviation Fuels: System‐Level Analyses and Perspective (ChemSusChem 18/2025)
The Cover Feature highlights the environmental benefits of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) by contrasting it with conventional fossil-based jet fuel. SAF is expected to contribute to a more sustainable future by reducing reliance on fossil resources and significantly lowering carbon emissions. In contrast, traditional jet fuel accelerates environmental degradation and greenhouse gas emissions. This study proposes a strategy for producing SAF in an economically viable and environmentally friendly way, using corn stalks as a renewable feedstock.
