ECONOMIC SPECIALIZATION OF THE REGION AS A FACTOR IN INCREASING ITS FINANCIAL SELF-SUFFICIENCY

The analysis of the levels of economic specialization and financial self-sufficiency of territories was conducted using 24 Russian regions as an example. Based on the proposed scale for assessing the level of economic specialization, it was revealed that the regions under consideration have different levels of it, which is most clearly manifested in the subjects with agricultural and raw materials focus of economic activity. A noticeable positive relationship was established between economic specialization and financial self-sufficiency of the region.
