A Double Band Diya Shaped Patch Antenna for C, X and Ku-Band Applications

This study presents a multiband Diya-shaped patch antenna with tips. The suggested antenna's measurements are <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$24 \times 18 \times 1.6 \text{mm}^{3}$</tex> at the operating frequency of 7.5 GHz. The diya-shaped patch antenna with tips results in a multiband operation operating in a bandwidth of 70 MHz (5.27 GHz to 5.34 GHz), 240 MHz (7.28 GHz to 7.52 GHz), 490 MHz (12.11 GHz to 12.60 GHz), and 400 MHz (13.60 to 14.01 GHz) with a peak gain of 5.8 dBi at 12.60 GHz. The proposed antenna is suitable for <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{C}, \mathrm{X}$</tex>, and Ku-band applications. Simulations are carried out using Ansys HFSS software.
