Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Early Identification of Protein Structure Variation in Human Beings
Predictions of protein folding can aid in the detection of cancer. Accumulating misfolded proteins can lead to multiple issues, one major issue being cancer. One of the AI models known as AlphaFold goes beyond assisting users to just fit together pieces of a shinning puzzle by enabling scientists to predict how proteins will fold based on specific sequences of amino acids and helping scientists understand the role of folded proteins in cancer. Artificial Intelligence has the capability of assisting in the design of personalized anti-cancer therapy by predicting the specific misfolded proteins for each patient. The ability of AI to precast the identification of a particular misfolded protein adds to the hypothesis of the presence of cancer and the ability to devise effective treatment plans that correspond with the patient's expectations. Hence, it would allow researchers to better understand how to approach effective treatment strategies for each cancer patient which consequently enhances the quality of care.
