Millimeter Wave Textile Based Antenna for Wearable Applications
In this work a millimeter wave textile based wearable antenna is designed and analyzed in free space, cylindrical bend, on body characteristics. Denim is used as a substrate material. The antenna resonates at 60 GHz (54.9 - 64.7 GHz) with a reflection coefficient of -17.971 dB and 63.1 GHz (56.75-69.93 GHz) with a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{S}_{11}$</tex> of -17.67 dB for free space and cylindrical bend. The 3D-gain of the antenna is 4.41 dBi and 5.2 dBi for both the scenarios. The radiation patterns observed as directional, bidirectional and omni-directional. CST v 2019 software is used for designing and simulation. The proposed antenna is good for wearable applications.
