Optimal Synthesis of Concentric Elliptical Antenna Arrays Using Evolutionary Computing Techniques
Concentric elliptical antenna arrays, or CEAAs, are easy to implement since they don't have to be precisely round in shape and can direct the main beam in any direction. CEAA is easily designed using evolutionary computing tools (ECT). The design of CEAA is reframed and treated as an optimization issue in this study. In contrast to other attempts, the optimization approach incorporates the ellipse's eccentricity in addition to design characteristics like amplitude and angular location. This improves search functionality and offers a superior lower sidelobe level (SLL) solution. The number of search parameters is directly correlated with the search capabilities within the solution space. The extra search factors that increases the degree of freedom in this work is eccentricity. Different eccentricity are observed and findout the radiation characterstic of ceaa. The CEAA is synthesized using the particle swarm optimization algorithm with the goals of FNBW and SLL suppression. The data clearly show that SLL suppression has improved and also compare with exsting work, it clear that proposed method attained maximum SLL reduction.
