Design of a Dual-Band Cavity-Backed SIW H-Coupled Dual Asymmetrical I-Slot Antenna for Medical Applications
A cavity-backed, SIW (substrate-integrated waveguide) slot antenna that operates at both frequencies is analysed and designed in this study. Two H-coupled dual asymmetrical I-slots configured with a microstrip line are used to achieve this. It attains a reflection coefficient of 17.25 dB and 22.34 dB and resonates at 9.16 & 9.66 GHz. The outlined antenna exhibits high radiation efficiencies of 87 and 92 percent at respective frequencies, as well as superior crosspolarization (<tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$<=-20 \text{dB}$</tex>) simulated with gains of 8.42 dBi and 9.02 dBi.
