A Novel-Shaped Concentric Circular Array Plus Antenna for IoT Applications

This paper designs a novel-shaped concentric circular Array antenna for IoT applications along with Sub-6GHz. The proposed design works in the band of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$4.68-4.83$</tex> GHz with <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$40 \times 50 \times 1.6 ~\text{mm}^{3}$</tex> dimensions. The low-cost FR4 material used for designing the proposed structure with a constant of 4.4 covers the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{C}$</tex>-band region. The design's radiation performance is assessed by efficiency and gain metrics. The gain of 6.15 dB occurs at 4.75 GHz, and a minimum of above 6 dB is achieved in the working region. The proposed design resonates at 4.75GHz, and the parameters such as return loss, gain, directivity, VSWR, radiation pattern, impedance, and field distributions are analyzed. The novel Concentric Circular Array Plus Antenna (CCAP) operates in C-band, making it feasible for IoT Applications.
