Designing an AI Expert of Educational Programmes in Higher Education

The paper is devoted to the development of a methodology and a prototype of an AI expert for the comprehensive evaluation of higher education programmes in the context of digital transformation and the active development of artificial intelligence. The use of traditional approaches to education quality assurance (accreditation, internal audit), on the one hand, requires a large amount of manual work and financial resources and, on the other hand, lacks opportunities to conduct predictive or research expertise. The authors propose an optimisation of AI-based expertise procedures to automate data analysis, reduce time and financial costs, and increase the objectivity of evaluation. The methodology is based on an adapted model of expertise that comprises three components: declaration, perspective, and reality. The paper presents terms of reference for developing the AI expert prototype.
