Metasurface based Antenna Array Design with Low RCS and Stable Radiation Characteristics
In this paper, an Artificial Magnetic Conductor-Perfect Electric Conductor (AMC-PEC) structure-based antenna array is presented. The designed antenna array offers RCS reduction and stable gain profile over the wide bandwidth. The unique combination of rectangular PEC cells and circular AMC cells are used to create an electrically small antenna array. The simulation results for the designed antenna array shows impedance & 3 dB gain bandwidth of 30 %. The RCS reduction of 102 % of the bandwidth is reported for the proposed design.
