A Study of the Effectiveness of Gamified Learning in an Elementary School Artificial Intelligence Course
Artificial Intelligence education in primary and secondary schools receives widespread attention. Game-based learning in elementary school artificial intelligence courses also causes attention. Based on the input-process-result (IPO) game-based learning model, this study conducted “Dragon Boat Race” game-based learning activities in fifth grade artificial intelligence course. The results showed that the game-based learning in artificial intelligence courses could help students to master artificial intelligence knowledge, significantly improved the computational thinking, enhanced artificial intelligence perspectives. Thus, this study provides additional evidence that using the game-based learning strategies is an effective learning method that improves learning performance of elementary school artificial Intelligence education.
