Medical Imaging Using a Conformal, Wideband, Monopole Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection
In this work, a compact monopole antenna is designed for breast tumor imaging. The put forward model operates from 1.76 to 6.2 GHz, with a maximum gain of 3.6 dBi at 5 GHz. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of the device is evaluated at multiple frequencies across its bandwidth. This is done by separately designing a breast model. All the performance parameters of the put-forward structure are studied from the simulator. Also, multiple copies of the designed antenna are placed around the modelled breast phantom to get adequate data for imaging the embedded tumor at a later stage.
