Triple Band Crown Shaped Slotted Microstrip Patch Antenna

This paper presents a triple band crown shaped slotted microstrip patch antenna with a defected ground structure (DGS) for high-gain applications. It introduces three crown shaped antenna designs: one with three spikes, another with five spikes, and the proposed one with five spikes with DGS. The five spikes antenna shows an improved bandwidth of 149 MHz to 173 MHz at a resonant frequency of 6.81 GHz, achieving a peak gain of 6.26 dBi. The five spikes antenna with DGS has a greater bandwidth of 700 MHz with a peak gain of 7.72 dBi, resonating at 14.37 GHz.
