Sustainability of Solar Powered Internet of Things Aquaponic System

The paper presents a sustainability study of a solar powered Internet-of-Things-based aquaponic system. Realtime logging of temperature and water levels as well as performance of basic tasks such as early warning system for system balancing are observed. Additional parameter taken into consideration in the money plant, water spinach and guppy fish aquaponic system are the power generation and consumption profile of the solar panel and rechargeable battery. The result obtained indicated successful implementation of the aquaponic management system despite having mismatch power consumption versus power generation of the solar panel.
