Design of a Mechanically Powered IoT Accident Alert System with Dynamo Integration

The increasing number of bicycle accidents highlights the need for rapid emergency response systems. This paper presents a design of a mechanically powered Internet of Things accident alert system with dynamo integration that integrates GPS, an accelerometer, and a dynamo-based power source to detect accidents and notify emergency contacts via Telegram. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller to process sensor data and trigger alerts upon impact detection. The dynamo ensures sustainable power generation, reducing reliance on external energy sources. Performance evaluations demonstrate the system's effectiveness in accident detection and power efficiency. This study contributes to Internet of Things-based safety enhancements by providing an autonomous, real-time accident alert system for cyclists.
