A Comprehensive Analysis of Artificial Intelligence Ethics and its Integration into Graduate Engineering Ethics Courses

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming every aspect of people's lives and fueling the fourth industrial revolution. However, its rapid development also inevitably impacts social order and poses complex ethical challenges within the field of engineering. To address these changes, this article analyzes the connotation of artificial intelligence ethics and the curriculum of engineering ethics education, revealing that traditional engineering ethics courses are ill-equipped to address the complex ethical risks posed by AI technology. In response, this paper proposes an innovative framework for integrating the AI ethics system into graduate engineering ethics courses. This framework consists of three components: the introduction of interdisciplinary case studies, project-based practice, and a dynamic feedback mechanism based on artificial intelligence. It advocates for the introduction of new AI-related ethical issues, the development of practical projects and case studies, and the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance students' ethical awareness and overall skillset. This approach aims to support the reform and advancement of engineering education.
