Printed Inverted-F Antenna with Metasurface Superstrate for 5G/WiMax/WiFi/C-Band Applications
This manuscript presents the development of a printed inverted-F antenna (PIFA) that incorporates an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) and metasurface superstrate, aiming at diverse wireless applications. The antenna is excited via a 50-ohm coaxial feed and features a shorting pin. It is specifically tuned to operate effectively across the 5 to 6.5 GHz frequency band. The inclusion of the AMC and metasurface superstrate substantially enhances the antenna's overall performance. The design is validated through simulations carried out with the commercial electromagnetic simulation tool, Ansys HFSS.
