AI - Powered Digital Transformation in Higher Education: Intelligent Simulation Tool

As artificial intelligence increasingly reshapes educational practices, higher education institutions face new opportunities to deeply integrate AI-driven innovations into teaching and learning processes. Using the course Principle of Automatic Control as a representative case, this paper investigates how AI-enhanced intelligent simulation tools can facilitate this transformation by improving teaching methodologies, student learning outcomes, and the development of digital learning resources. Based on the limitations of traditional engineering instruction, which often lacks interactive visualization and thus prevents students from intuitively grasping abstract theoretical concepts, we developed an AI-driven simulation tool. Leveraging Python, dynamic visualization techniques, personalized feedback mechanisms, and a custom-developed AI assistant, this tool effectively addresses these instructional challenges. Results indicate substantial improvements in student engagement, comprehension, and analytical skills, as well as notable enhancements in overall teaching effectiveness. This research demonstrates that integrating AI technologies in higher education can meaningfully bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, providing a compelling model for broader educational innovation and transformation.
