AI-Driven Personalized Learning Paths: Enhancing Student Engagement Through Gamification and Interdisciplinary Integration
Today, artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in education to create a more personalized learning experience. This study focuses on how personalized learning with the help of AI can increase student engagement, especially by combining gamification elements and a cross-disciplinary approach. In this study, we used a mixed method, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis. On the quantitative side, we collected data on how students interact with AI-based learning platforms, such as engagement levels, quiz results, and task completion rates. Meanwhile, on the qualitative side, we analyzed conversations in discussion forums, student reflections, and feedback from educators to understand more deeply how their learning experiences were shaped. The results show that when learning is personalized with the help of AI, students are more motivated and have better learning outcomes. In particular, gamification features such as reward systems, challenges, and difficulty level adjustments have been shown to increase their engagement. In addition, connecting different disciplines in a single learning process helps students develop a more critical mindset and problem-solving skills. This research provides new insights into how AI technology can be effectively applied in education. We hope these findings can guide educators in creating more engaging, inclusive, and effective learning experiences for students in this digital age.
