Design of a Triode-Type Magnetron Injection Gun for 42/85/94 GHz Triple-Frequency Gyrotron
The design of a triode -type magnetron injection gun for a triple frequency Gyrotron operating in 42/85/94 working in the modes TE<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">6,2,</inf> TE<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">10,4</inf> and TE<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">12,4</inf> respectively has been presented. From the given cavity parameters, gun geometry and the solenoid magnet parameters are calculated. The performance of the electron gun with the application of the solenoid magnetic field is simulated at the specified frequencies using the EGUN, an Electron Trajectory program. The generated gyrating electron beam satisfies all the required parameters.
