Dynamic Ex-ante Market Power Analysis Model Considering Unit Start-stop Constraints
Traditional ex-ante market power analysis methods mostly analyze market power from the perspectives of single-period static power supply and demand, market share, and grid constraints. Due to the neglect of unit output flexibility constraints, especially the impact of multi-period coupling constraints, traditional static ex ante market power analysis methods may misjudge market power when detecting market power in the spot market. This paper further considers the impact of unit start-stop constraints on the market power of market members in the power spot market, establishes a dynamic ex ante market power analysis model considering unit ramp constraints, and analyzes the impact of unit start-stop constraints on market power in the spot market. The CPLEX solver is called on the GAMS software platform to solve the model. The day-ahead market is selected as the research object, and the modified IEEE14-node system is used for simulation. The results show that unit start-stop constraints can form or expand the market power of generators in the spot market, and the model in this paper can effectively identify the ex-ante market power of suppliers.
