Big Data Mining in Education: A Scientometric Analysis Based on CiteSpace
With the rapid advancement of information technology, big data mining has seen growing applications in education. To identify research hotspots and emerging trends in this field, this study employs a visual scientometric analysis of literature published between 2010 and 2025, using CiteSpace and data sourced from the Web of Science Core Collection. The findings indicate that research output grew substantially during the early period, peaking in 2022, before experiencing a decline in scholarly attention post-2023. Publications are relatively dispersed geographically, with China, the United States, and the England leading in publication volume. Collaboration networks among authors remain weak, reflecting limited sustained partnerships. Research topics centered on systems and data analytics continue to receive significant focus and are anticipated to remain pivotal in future investigations.
