A Metasurface-Based Quad BandStop Filter in L, S and C Bands using Modified Split Ring Resonators
A quad bandstop filter with sharp roll off is presented using square split-ring resonators incorporating metasurface. A single metallic layer with pattern of two split ring resonators on the top of FR4 substrate with 1 mm thickness has been used to design the filter. High rejections at frequencies in the L band (1.68 GHz), S -band (2.76 GHz), and C band (4.4 GHz and 7.38 GHz) having rejection values of 34.4 dB, 27.5 dB, 32.6 dB and 22.2 dB respectively have been observed. Being ultrathin and compact in nature, the proposed filter can be used in the communication applications, such as decluttering and multiband interference reduction in wireless and space communication systems.
