Cost-Effective AI and IoT Based Smart System for Precision Water Management in Agriculture
Water management has become a serious challenge due to climate change and the subsequent increase in catastrophic occurrences, such as floods and tropical storms, droughts, and diminished groundwater reserves. India has 195 million hectares of land under cultivation and uses 85 per cent of the water resources with low efficiency [1]. AI, ML and IoT-based smart system was developed that can monitor water levels affordably while producing reliable and accurate findings. In view of this, the main aim of this project is to design and develop a fully functional, cost-effective prototype that can efficiently manage field water level and also provide the farmer with adequate data using AI/ML techniques. Regular water level monitoring can be done by the proposed prototype, and the information gathered is saved in a cloud-based database to aid farmers in better managing their crop water levels.
