Application of Artificial Intelligence in Education: An Intelligent Tutoring Robot Based on Simulation Technology

This study facilitates the digital transformation of traditional teaching paradigms by seamlessly integrating advanced simulation technology with artificial intelligence (AI) into educational curricula. Centering on the critical mechanical concept of section modulus for simply supported beams under load, a case study approach was adopted. Initially, a meticulously developed 3D model generated vivid representations of stress and displacement through simulation-based calculations, enhancing learners' comprehension. Subsequently, software designed using Python incorporated visual materials from simulations and mathematical formula calculation processes. Furthermore, leveraging the API of Alibaba Qwen model, an intelligent tutoring robot module was integrated into the software to provide immediate answers to students’ queries. A teaching experiment was conducted to analyze the software's effectiveness. Results indicate that these digital resources aid in grasping complex theories and equations, significantly improving the quality of mechanical education. Additionally, the integration of intelligent tutoring robot notably boosts students' engagement and enthusiasm. As key catalysts for educational advancement, the deployment of these digital technologies warrants broader exploration and implementation.
