A Compact Two Port Triple Band MIMO Antenna for Mm-Wave Applications

This Research work Presents 2- Port MIMO Triple band mm wave antenna with a bandwidth of 7.5 GHz to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$8.5 \text{GHz}, 16$</tex> to 20 GHz and 28 GHz to 37.8 GHz. It is designed on a 0.254 mm ultrathin RO5880 substrate with permittivity 2.3. The proposed two-port MIMO annular rings antenna has dimensions of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$12 \times 20 ~\text{mm}^{2}$</tex>. Even in the absence of isolation structure, antenna maintains effective separation between the two ports and delivering a peak gain of 5.7 dBi. The Simulated results indicate the proposed MIMO antenna system holds significant promise for 5G and mm wave applications.
