Optimal Dispatch Strategies for Virtual Power Plants in Electricity Markets
Against the backdrop of new power system development, virtual power plants (VPPs) have emerged as a crucial form for integrating diverse distributed resources into electricity markets, owing to their unique advantages. Optimizing the dispatch of resources within a VPP to maximize its effectiveness in market participation presents a significant challenge. This paper investigates the operational mechanisms of VPPs participating in electricity market trading, establishes output models for various internal resource entities, and constructs a risk-preference-based optimal dispatch model for VPPs, aiming to maximize overall economic benefits. The model yields optimized dispatch strategies for VPP market participation. Case studies compare the benefits of different entity combinations under varying risk preference coefficients. Results demonstrate that distributed resources achieve higher returns when participating collectively as a VPP, validating the model's effectiveness.
