Dual Polarized Vivaldi Antenna for X- Band Satellite and Radar Applications
A new dual polarized Vivaldi antenna is proposed for X-band satellite and radar applications. Presented antenna is designed on RT/Duroid 5880 dielectric substrate with <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$27 \times 30 \times 0.79 ~\text{mm}^{3}$</tex> dimensions. The proposed antenna covering the frequency from 6.52 to 10.30 GHz. Both vertical and horizontal polarizations of linear polarization are observed. Antenna parameters like gain greater than <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{8. 1 0 ~ d B i}$</tex>, correlation coefficient between antenna elements is less than 0.005 is observed. By using Ansys HFSS presented antenna is designed.
