Design and Analysis of MIMO Antenna with Modified Two W Shaped Slots for 5G Application
This paper presents the design and performance analysis of four port Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna for 5G application. The proposed antenna designed on an FR4 substrate (<tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$94.57 \times 80.57 \times 1.56 \text{mm}^{3}$</tex>) with dielectric constant <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{\varepsilon}_{\mathbf{r}}=4.4$</tex>. The design effectively demonstrates S parameters, VSWR and far-field radiation patterns. The proposed antenna achieves a gain of 3.37 dB with different phase configurations while maintaining uniform amplitude. The simulated results obtained from CST Software using prime showcases good impedance matching, low mutual coupling, proper isolation and focused beam forming. The prime objective of this antenna design is to observe the impact of phase variation on the radiation pattern.
