WAWASAN NUSANTARA SEBAGAI GEOPOLITIK DALAM KONTEKS PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN SEKOLAH DASAR : SUATU TINJAUAN TEORITIS
This study aims to analyze the concept of Wawasan Nusantara as a geopolitical doctrine based on Indonesia’s social reality, history, and geographical position as an archipelagic state. This concept plays a strategic role in strengthening national integration, safeguarding sovereignty, and shaping national identity amidst the challenges of globalization. However, the implementation of Wawasan Nusantara in various aspects of national life still faces obstacles, such as low public awareness, foreign cultural influences, and regional development disparities. Using a literature review method, this research examines how Wawasan Nusantara, which is rooted in the values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, serves as a fundamental framework for fostering national awareness and protecting the nation from the negative impacts of globalization. Data were collected from various sources, including books, scientific journals, and previous relevant studies. The findings indicate that a strong understanding of Wawasan Nusantara is crucial in fostering unity and nationalism. Education, particularly Civic Education at the elementary school level, plays a significant role in instilling national values from an early age through inclusive and contextual approaches. Therefore, this study emphasizes the need for a more systematic educational approach and integrated policies to reinforce the implementation of Wawasan Nusantara. This will help create a generation with a high awareness of national identity, who uphold unity and are capable of adapting to global dynamics without losing their Indonesian identity.
