Percepción parental sobre la eficacia de la terapia de Análisis de Comportamiento Aplicado (ABA) en niños de 3 a 6 años con Trastorno Espectro Autista
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a childhood neurodevelopmental condition characterized by challenges in the social communication and repetitive behavior. Its heterogeneity generates uncertainty in families looking for appropriate interventions for each child. The aim of this study was analyzing the efficacy of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy from the parental perspective, through a systematic review of scientific articles published between 2019 and 2024, selecting quantitative, quasi-experimental and observational studies with an emphasis on family-centered intervention. The results show progress in children´s cognitive, emotional and social development, especially when ABA is combined with other therapies and active involvement of caregivers. However, there are some criticisms regarding ethical aspects and lack of neurodiversity inclusion. In spite of this, parents recognize its usefulness to improve the quality of life for children and their families.
