Predicting running-related injuries based on runner characteristics

Introduction: Running-related injuries are highly prevalent, posing a significant public health challenge. While previous research has primarily focused on identifying the risk of runningrelated injuries in subpopulations of runners, there remains a critical need for tools that enable runners to predict their personal risk of sustaining a running-related injury.Aim: The aim of the present study was to develop models for predicting running-related injury during 12 and 26 weeks of follow-up, using self-reported runner characteristics from adult runners.
