AUTOMATION IMPROVEMENT OF TOBACCO PAPER BOX PACKAGING PROCESS DRIVEN BY MECHANICAL ARM
With the rapid development of automation technology, automatic packaging systems driven by robotic arms have been widely used in various production lines, especially in the tobacco, food, and pharmaceutical industries. To address the issues of low efficiency, low precision, and excessive manual intervention in traditional tobacco paper box packaging processes, this study proposes an intelligent packaging system based on dual arm robotic arms and multi-sensor collaborative control. The system uses a robot control unit and a programmable logic control system to work together to achieve optimized control of the packaging process path.Meanwhile, by combining the improvement of indentation direction and process path, the accuracy and efficiency of the packaging process have been further enhanced. In the experiment, the research system improved the packaging accuracy by an average of about 26.5% compared to the baseline system in the adaptability test of multi-specification tobacco paper boxes, and reduced the switching response time by more than 48%.In 500 rounds of continuous operation tasks, the cumulative error was reduced by about 31.9% compared to the baseline system, and the response delay was always controlled within 95 ms.The experiment shows that the proposed intelligent packaging system exhibits good performance in packaging speed, accuracy control, and multi-task collaboration, providing a feasible solution for the intelligent upgrade of tobacco paper box packaging technology.
