Promoting Design Management in Museums Based on Space Syntax: A Case Study in Ningxia Transportation Museum
Space syntax analysis technology is a smart city technology that can provide a unique perspective on the organization and layout of exhibition space in museum spaces. This study explores the application of Space Syntax theory in optimizing museum design management, taking Ningxia Transportation Museum as a case. The study found that core areas such as Corridor 27 and Hall 14 performed well in spatial indicators and are the main traffic hubs, while exhibition halls far away from the halls have problems such as high distance costs and poor convenience. Based on field of view analysis and crowd flow simulation, optimization suggestions are proposed, such as strengthening the linkage of core hubs, optimizing the visibility and accessibility of remote exhibition halls, and paying attention to the safety of crowded areas. The study shows that space syntax can effectively analyze the structure and characteristics of museum exhibition spaces, provide a scientific basis for space design optimization, and the research conclusions are universal for exhibition buildings with similar plane forms.
